Carbon Audits

A carbon audit can demonstrate to others that you are aware of the environmental impact of your business. It can also point out areas of the business where there may be opportunities to save money. Many environmental assurance schemes also now require the production of a carbon/energy audit.

As with all of our services, please give us a call to discuss your exact requirements; we have visited many hundreds of farms over the years and we have yet to find two which are exactly the same.

We use (& recommend) the The Farm Carbon Accounting tool. This is a fairly simple to produce audit which can give surprisingly detailed results for the production & sequestration of the main greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide & methane).

Analysis of the results can identify areas of the business where major environmental and cost savings can be made and an appropriate action plan can then be formulated.
